Twitter CEO – Tech billionaire Elon Musk recently announced that he is developing his own chatbot called“TruthGPT” as an alternative to ChatGPT, the popular chatbot created by OpenAI. Musk has expressed concerns about the dangers of artificial intelligence and believes that AI regulation is necessary to prevent potential harm to humanity.
In a recent interview with Fox News, Musk explained that his new AI would be a “maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe”. He said to be the big fan of AI (Artificial Intelligence). He believes that an AI that seeks to understand humanity and is less likely to harm it.
According to a Nevada business filing, Musk has also incorporated a new business called X.AI Corp, A. The website of the Nevada Secretary of State’s office says the business was incorporated on March 9, it has Musk as its director along with his longtime adviser, Jared Birchall, as secretary.
Although he was an early investor in OpenAI and co-chaired its board upon its founding in 2015, Musk resigned from the board in 2018. He has since criticized other tech leaders, including Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates, for their limited understanding of AI.
According to a blog post by OpenAI in February 2018, Elon Musk’s resignation from the board was aimed at avoiding any potential conflicts of interest that might arise as Tesla increasingly focused on AI.
Musk himself stated in an interview that he came up with the concept and name for TruthGPT, and expressed disappointment that OpenAI is no longer a non-profit and has aligned itself closely with Microsoft.
Musk’s is a strong believer that AI is so great that he was one of the key signatories of a letter calling for a halt to the development of “giant AI experiments”.
