The Web Werks – Iron Mountain Data Centers (IMDC) Joint Venture (JV), launches its first Data Center in Bengaluru. Web Werks and Iron Mountain entered into a joint venture agreement 2021. The data center will be located in Whitefield, Bengaluru.

  • Microsoft Bing in Search Battle with Google

Microsoft’s little-used search engine Bing, has been seeing a significant rise since the integration of OpenAI technology boost mainly ChatGPT. It’s page visits have been risen significantly. By integrating GPT into Bing, Microsoft has been able to improve the accuracy and relevance of search results. Also it provides more natural and conversational answers to users’ queries.

Since the unveil of Microsoft Corp artificial intelligence-powered version in February, page visits on Bing have seen growth of around 15 percent. These figures are a good early sign of the progress the Bing has taken in its race with Google for generative AI dominance.

While Google remains the dominant search engine, Microsoft has been making strides in recent years to improve Bing and gain a larger share of the search market through its latest AI technology. The integration of OpenAI’s technology is just one example of the company’s efforts to stay competitive and provide users with a better search experience to target 120 billion dollars, search engine market.

  • 18 vendors selected for Space Force, space data analytics and software services

The U.S. Space Force Systems Command has selected 18 vendors to provide data analytics and software services. It will help them analyze and study information about the space domain.

The vendors are selected under a five-year, $900 million contract, which also aims to develop new technologies and capabilities to support the Space Force’s missions. The selected vendors will provide a range of services, including data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, software development, and other related services. These services will help the Space Force to collect, process, and analyze data from various space-based assets, including satellites and other space-based systems.

Some of the vendors include – Avantus Federal, Agility Consulting, BAE Systems, Ernst & Young, Kinetica, MAG Aerospace, Oracle America, World Wide Technology etc.

This Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract supports the Space C2 (command and control) program that the U.S. Air Force started in 2018.
