- Google Cloud Partners with Tezos Foundation for latest push into Web3
Google Cloud has extended its portfolio to growing roaster of Web3 partnerships. Google Cloud see a new partnership to becoming a network validator on the Tezos blockchain. On Feb 22, 2023 – The Swiss non-profit Tezos Foundation, supporting the Tezos blockchain and Google Cloud will allow customers of the Cloud Computing business to deploy Tezos nodes and build Web3 applications on the blockchain.
The partnership will also allow customers to select Tezos incubator startups with Google Cloud credits and mentorship via the Google for Startups Cloud Program.
- Media Technology company Amagi acquires Streamwise
Media Technology based company Amagi on Tuesday said it has acquired Streamwise to boost its streaming data analytics solutions. Streamwise is an early-stage data aggregation and reporting platform for content distributors. According to Amagi, this acquisition will enhance its data solutions capabilities with comprehensive, more streamlined reporting and dashboards.
- TikTok planning 2 more Data Centers in Europe
A senior executive from TikTok said on Friday, they are planning to open two more data centers in Europe. TikTok owned by China’s ByteDance, aims to expand its European data storage as said in a blog post by company’s General Manager for Operations. He said, “We are at an advanced stage of finalising a plan for a second data center in Ireland with a third party service provider”.
- Gulf Data Hub and Elsewedy planning 3 Data Center campuses in Egypt
Middle East data center firm Gulf Data Hub (GDH) this week announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with engineering firm Elsewedy Data Centers to develop ‘Africa’s largest data center complex in Egypt’. This joint venture aims to invest $2.1 billion in developing three data center complexes in three locations with a total of 192MW, expanding to 300MW in 5-7 years.
